What You'll Do
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all general accounting activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a team of two accounting professionals.
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Manage job cost accounting, including WIP, cost allocations, and cost-of-sales reporting.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management functions.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Support annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Administer business insurance programs and related risk management activities.
- Partner with operations, inventory, customer service, IT, and leadership teams to improve processes and data integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing a team.
- Manufacturing industry experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems; SyteLine experience is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
